On September 24, 2024, the European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science Implementation Phase project (E-RIHS IP) will hold a public event at the Manifattura Tabacchi in Florence to celebrate the upcoming successful conclusion and 20 years of E-RIHS activity. The public event is organized by the E-RIHS IP project coordinator, the Institute for Heritage Science of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR ISPC).

The venue of the meeting is the future headquarters of the European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC), the legal entity that E-RIHS IP has contributed to establishing and that will enable E-RIHS to consolidate its role as a leading organization in the global heritage science landscape.

The event will feature morning sessions with presentations from E-RIHS IP partners, National Nodes representatives, stakeholders, and institutions discussing project outcomes and future directions. The afternoon will focus on E-RIHS’s role in the digital and research infrastructure ecosystem. The event will retrace contributions provided by E-RIHS to foster cooperation and strengthen the heritage science community in Europe and beyond, showcasing achievements, updates from partner institutions, and discussions on sustainability and socio-economic impacts.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with leading experts in heritage science, network with key stakeholders, and explore future perspectives designed to enhance E-RIHS’s global impact.
