EXRS 2026 continues the long-standing tradition of the EXRS conference series, providing an international forum for scientists, researchers, and professionals to present and discuss recent advances in X-ray spectrometry, related analytical techniques, and their applications across a wide range of scientific and technological fields.
The conference which will be held on June 14-19, 2026 in Catania, is organized by CNR ISPC in cooperation with Laboratori Nazionali del Sud of INFN (LNS-INFN) and the University of Catania.
Researchers are invited to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations. Abstracts must be prepared in accordance with the submission guidelines and submitted via the EasyChair platform. Scientific Topics
Authors are invited to submit abstracts addressing fundamental, methodological, and applied aspects of X-ray spectrometry, including but not limited to:
- Interactions of X-rays with matter
- X-ray fundamental parameters
- Quantification, simulation, and modelling
- X-ray sources, optics, detectors, and high-resolution set-ups
- X-ray absorption and emission spectroscopy
- TXRF, GIXRF, and GEXRF techniques
- Synchrotron imaging techniques with nano- and micro-beams
- PIXE, EPMA, XRD, and complementary techniques
- Artificial intelligence and machine learning in X-ray spectrometry
- Applications in cultural heritage, biology and health, environment, nanotechnology, energy materials, electrochemistry, and industrial production
Interdisciplinary contributions and emerging applications are particularly encouraged.
The Call for Abstract is open. The deadline is on March 2, 2026.
Please note that abstract submission is independent of conference registration. Only abstracts submitted by registered participants who have completed the conference fee payment will be included in the final scientific program.
