Job Vacancy: Communication Assistant at the E-RIHS Central Hub, Florence, Italy
E-RIHS ERIC is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Communication Assistant to join its Central Hub in Florence, Italy. This is a full-time tenure-track position, offered as a one-year contract, with the possibility of a permanent appointment following a positive review. The gross annual salary is €49,550 and includes full social security coverage under Italian labour law
The Communication Assistant will work under the supervision of the Director General and contribute to the implementation of E-RIHS ERIC’s communication and dissemination strategy. The role involves preparing and managing internal and external communication materials, supporting the visibility of E-RIHS activities, and engaging with the broader heritage science community at national, European and international level. The successful candidate will manage institutional communication channels (including website, social media and newsletters), support the production of visual and editorial content, and assist in the organisation and promotion of events, meetings and outreach initiatives. In addition to communication and outreach tasks, the Communication Assistant will provide general secretarial support to the Director General and the Central Hub functions, while also facilitating effective communication flow between the Central Hub, National Nodes and stakeholders. Candidates should hold a master’s degree in a relevant field such as communication, cultural heritage management, or international relations, and have at least two years of professional experience in communication and institutional exchanges, ideally within the European research infrastructure or cultural heritage sectors. An excellent command of English (C1 or higher) is essential. Familiarity with digital communication tools, content management systems, social media platforms, and collaborative environments is expected, along with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
