{"id":1804,"date":"2017-11-07T12:02:37","date_gmt":"2017-11-07T11:02:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.e-rihs.it\/?post_type=project&#038;p=1804"},"modified":"2025-05-05T12:57:44","modified_gmt":"2025-05-05T11:57:44","slug":"diacavhe-diagnostics-cave-heritage","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/www.e-rihs.it\/en\/project\/diacavhe-diagnostics-cave-heritage\/","title":{"rendered":"DiaCavHE: Diagnostics for Cave Heritage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Utente<\/strong>: Manuela De Giorgi<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/bbcc.unisalento.it\/home_page\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/bbcc.unisalento.it\/home_page<br \/>\n<\/a><strong>Sede<\/strong>: Chiesa rupestre di Sant\u2019Angelo a Casalrotto (Mottola, TA)<\/p>\n<p>La campagna di acquisizione 3D della chiesa rupestre di Sant\u2019Angelo a Casalrotto (Mottola, TA), \u00e8 stata portata a termine\u00a0grazie al laboratorio mobile MOLAB dell\u2019infrastruttura IPERION_CH.it, ora E-RIHS.it,\u00a0 utilizzando uno scanner laser a tempo di volo (FARO 120).<br \/>\nPer campionare i due piani della chiesa sono state acquisite 16 scansioni al piano superiore\u00a0 e 9 scansioni al piano inferiore. E\u2019 stato necessario riprendere la struttura da diversi punti di osservazione al fine di realizzare un campionamento completo della superficie interna. L\u2019elevato numero di posizioni di ripresa \u00e8 dovuto alla particolare struttura architettoica della chiesa, ove la presenza di colonne, pilastri e archi all&#8217;interno degli spazi e di nicchie ha reso estremamente difficile la selezione di un ottimale set di posizioni di ripresa (visto che molte zone risultano visibili solo da pochi punti di vista). Inoltre sono state effettuate 4 scansioni anche della parte esterna prospicente l\u2019ingresso, al fine di avere dati anche sulla zona esterna di ingresso al manufatto.<br \/>\nOgni singola scansione contiene circa 6,5 milioni di punti 3D.<br \/>\nIn parallelo all&#8217;acquisizione geometrica della superficie sono state effettuate anche due differenti tipologie di riprese fotografiche:<br \/>\n&#8211; la prima rivolta ad acquisire a media risoluzione il dato colore sull&#8217;intera estensione delle superfici interne del manufatto, con l&#8217;obiettivo di mapparlo sull\u2019intero modello tridimensionale;<br \/>\n&#8211; una seconda \u00e8 stata invece realizzata ad alta risoluzione, con l&#8217;obiettivo di riprendere solo alcune porzioni delle pareti interne, scelte in funzione dell&#8217;importanza e del grado di conservazione degli affreschi presenti sulle superfici.<br \/>\nIl processing dei dati 3D, realizzato con il sistema MeshLab, ha permesso di allineare le 29 range map acquisite in un unico sistema di riferimento e di produrre un unico modello 3D contenente circa 50 milioni di facce triangolari, mantenendo nel modello finale la risoluzione di campionamento di un punto ogni 5 mm.<br \/>\nIl modello cosi ottenuto \u00e8 stato quindi semplificato (riduzione controllata della complessit\u00e0 geometrica) per produrne una versione da 20 milioni di triangoli sul quale \u00e8 stato mappato il colore\u00a0 ottenuto da 170 foto (ognuna da 24 Mpix). Tra gli affreschi presenti ne sono stati selezionati tre per i quali sono state mappate, invece, immagini ad alta risoluzione per rendere visibili questi ultimi con il dettaglio pi\u00f9 alto possibile.<br \/>\nI modelli 3D saranno resi fruibili (in locale o su web) mediante un&#8217;istallazione realizzata con il tool 3DHop sviluppato dal Visual Computing Lab.<\/p>\n<p><a
