href=\"http:\/\/www.itam.cas.cz\/\"><span class=\"hlnadpis\">Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Czech Academy of Sciences<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/a>is co-organizing the International conference<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Hidden Beneath the Surface: Archaeological Areas of Europe<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>to be held in Prague from 11 to 12 November 2021.<\/p>\n<div class=\"news_detail\">\n<p><strong>There are three main topics<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. \/ The circumstances of the development of archaeological areas and their position on the local and national level<br \/>In this section, contributions are expected on the history of the development of individual archaeological areas, their position in the formation of the local, national and supranational cultural identity, on the discussion and possibilities of the preservation of maximum authenticity and the relation between modern architecture and archaeological cultural heritage.<\/p>\n<p>2. \/ The long-term sustainability of archaeological areas:\u00a0Interdisciplinary research and its application<br \/>This section will be devoted to contributions from the fields of microclimatology, (hydro)geology, statistics, survey of materials, restoration and conservation techniques.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.iperionhs.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Hidden-_call-for-papers.pdf\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-8289\">Call for papers and information<\/a><\/p>\n<p>3. \/ Incorporation of archaeological areas into the current architecture and type of their presentation<br \/>This section should contain contributions on the interaction of archaeological monuments and current urban complexes and the types of their presentation (museum exhibitions, virtual tours, applications
