They will explain how scientific techniques carried out in the laboratory or on-site can be used to learn more about material composition and causes of decay, and how this can inform repair strategies and specifications.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They will describe some of the challenges and limitations to be aware of when commissioning materials science work.
